Taking out the corn

This is a combine...it mows down the corn, grabs the husks, dehusks the corn & ends up with just dried corn. It's amazing how efficient it is.

The above photo shows more of the complete process...combine cuts the corn; then it loads it into a "cart" pulled by a tractor. Further down the road is a grain hauler truck which will take the grain (corn) to a grain elevator. The neighbor said the wait at the grain elevator is up to 2 hours. He also mentioned that in his 92 yrs this is one of the best grain crops he has ever seen. The excess supply of grain has caused the price to fall to almost half of what it was just last year.
